Dear ballet fans,

Take a look at this trailer of John Cranko's Onegin! The Royal Ballet of Flanders are currently performing it in Belgium!

This is such a great ballet and I hope you have all seen this version.

If you have, let me know which company you saw perform it. If you haven't, take a look at the trailer and let me know your thoughts! :-)

Best, Laurie

I've seen productions by ENB (or London Festival Ballet as they were at the time), Stuttgart Ballet, Royal Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Royal Danish Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet!

The first performance I saw was LFB on 26th May 1984 at the London Coliseum with Marcia Haydee and Richard Cragun.

Looking at the trailer, the set and costumes are different from the ones I have been used to.

That is really interesting. Would you by any chance have any photos/images of other companies that you have seen perform Onegin?

I have found Marcia Haydée performing Tatiana in this video about her working with the West Australian Ballet.

Also, The Sleeping Beauty was staged for The Royal Ballet of Flanders by Marcia Haydée in June 2006. Sets and costumes were designed by Pablo Nuñez.
